What is interesting from the City of Washington, DC

The White House is not too large, especially when compared to contemporary architecture that big. However, the building architect James Hoban designed and built in 1792 it is an icon of the city, even the U.S. icon. Official brochure published by the White House Visitor Center noted, the building is the oldest public building in the city.

Georgian-style house became the official residence of U.S. presidents since the Second U.S. President Johan Adams, in 1800. So, during the 200 years, people are number one in the country live there, including Barack Obama.

The White House stood in the corner not far from the open area in the middle of the city commonly called the National Mall.
